Its a delivery van for distribution of monthly ration to white card or BPL families. A total of 9500 vans are procured at a cost of 900 cr fig are all approx and are given on 60% subsidy to eligible drivers. They need to supply Rice and other items to card holders and can run them in extra hours for fuel and earn income.

It's not donation
The actual thing is AP govt has come up with an idea of delivering monthly ration to ration card holders so that card holders can get ration delivered to home instead of the card holders going to the ration distribution centres
I read this in some news yesterday

Still .. its a good idea to do this ..else pds system doesnt work properly in many states ..
