On the MS run, once it clears the SLO-RJY section, it runs in a relatively free schedule and gets spared from unnecessary OTs.
The run to COA is way too horrible. 17643 is already slower than 17644 by one hour and on top of that it gets delayed. To the point that in all the years I was a regular by the train, they never let it reach SLO ahead of Ratnachal. Even if Circar was on time, it would get held up at DWP or Medapadu and get an OT....
