When the ship was stucked in Suez Canal, it drastically affected the world economy because majority of the World's shipment was via Suez Canal, due to shorter connectivity.
But as since ship was stucked some ships were forced to take the old path via Cape of Good Hope in South africa which takes a longer time and also operating cost becomes more because distance is more.
