Ahmedabad - Varanasi Weekly Special with VTA WDM-3D 11482 at the helm approached Palam at a crawling pace and eventually had to halt on the mainline due to non-availability of platform at Delhi Cantt. stn, as the PFs were covered by JP-DEE Special, Ala Hazrat Special and DEE-RJT Special.

After a while, 09580 Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Rajkot SF Special hauled by BGKT WDG-4 12579 came furiously from the other end and skipped Palam in just a few seconds. Soon after, 09407 ADI-BSB got a clearance and it departed from Palam toward DEC.
