Important places to Visit in Pawapuri are :-( clockwise in picture)

1. Jain Samosaran Temple - The place where Lord Mahavira, the 24th and last Tirthankar in Jainism, gave his last sermon.

2. Jal Mandir, Pawapuri - The Place where Lord Mahavira was cremated after attaining Mahaparinirvana in about 527 BC. Jal Mandir, denotes that place and is a splendid white marble temple situated in the middle of man-made lake, connected to the mainland by a red sandstone causeway.

3. Naulakha Temple, Pawapuri

4. Gaon Mandir, Pawapuri - This beautiful sandstone temple denotes the place where Lord Mahavira breathed his last.

Note :- The railway station is located near NH 20. One can easily take a Auto-rickshaw plying anytime between Biharsharif and Pawapuri. The buses which runs between Bihar Sharif and Nawada/Warisaliganj also stops at Pawapuri and can be used.

The number of Jain pilgrims and local/national tourists is quite large here along with nearby Rajgir city. But Bihar govt does not have any effective advertisement policy for attracting pilgrims and tourists.
