Passengers in the intermediate stations quite often find it difficult to know the exact coach position of their compartment. Always the station PA system announces the position at the last moment only and passengers with baggage are seen running from one end of the PF to other. Why cant you update the coach position of all trains the moment the train departs from the original departing station to help commuters getting in the subsequent stations
that is kind of southern railways to announce coach composition, even at the last moment...no such announcements in er, ser, ecr and nfr. Also earlier the protocol was s1 or b1 towards loco and s12 or b3 towards guard...but since 2 yrs or so, rlys hv fixed the coach nos.on either side run. From major station(if applies), s1 towards loco and s11 or s12 towards guard...further worsening the issue...
