It travelled at an average speed of more than 70 Kmph in NFR jurisdiction ( Malda Town to Amingaon, Guwahati). It left Tata Nagar at 17:55 hrs yesterday and reached Amingaon at 11:55 hrs today.
Irony is that avg of fastest train between Malda and Kamakhya is 54 km/hr only

True. And green corridor wont be created daily for rajdhani & others. So expecting speedup of pax trains on basis of green corridor is.....😐

many single line stretches betgara gumanihat and beyond new bongaigaon. track utilization in these sections about 170% so prior to doubling no new train or speeding rise possible. it is altogether different to run an one off oxygen train.
teesta, jaldhaka. saraighat bridge doubling and double line in naranarayan bridge quite a lot of work pending.
