As such this train takes more travel time at present and extending it may not be a feasible idea. Providing slip coaches can be considered.
ok better slip coaches can be provided???but madurai dep 4.30am n MAS arr 11.55am..???is it possible for a train to reach mas within 7 hr 25 mins???!!!!!

no need to extend all trains from mas to cstm are very very slow
Instead of extending this train for the benefit of Madurai people, it's much better to increase the frequency of 11044. This will serve Madurai people better than any other train exclusively. Also it will help to avoid south people to go all along chennai for going to catch Mumbai trains. Consequently the rush in MDU-MS and MS/MAS-CSTM trains will become low. If 11044 frequency increases, one of its services can be extended to Jaipur/Bikaner from Kalyan. At present Chalukya is already extended to TEN for 3 days in a week and probably will start to run after Oct.15 this year. It will make Madurai people journey to Mumbai easier.
