e Ballari Siriguppa Sindhanur Lingasugur Bijapur would complete the grid of NEK and provide rail connectivity to the underdeveloped areas. Hope it becomes a realty soon.

My view on green lines proposed by you:

🔹Vijayapura - Kalaburagi: It will be useful for both intra-state and inter-state connectivity. Vijayapura - Shahabad new line survey is being conducted for this connectivity only

- Pandharpur: It will be very useful for devotees from Karnataka to travel to Pandharpur. I read regarding such new line proposal

🔹Pandharpur - Solapur: A good connectivity. But I doubt whether it will be constructed or not. If this line is constructed then passenger/express trains traffic might get reduced in Solapur - Kurduwadi - Pandharpur section because passenger/express trains might get diverted in this shortest route

🔹Ballari - Gangavathi - Kushtagi - Almatti: I didn't find any sanctioned survey regarding this project

Let's talk about this project in 2 parts viz., Ballari - Gangavathi and Gangavathi - Almatti

Ballari - Gangavathi line might start from Daroji which is in Ballari - Hosapete line. So this line might become Daroji - Gangavathi line. Local people are proposing this line since few years. So there is a chance of this train becoming reality because many people travel in between Ballari and Gangavathi on daily basis. Ballari - Gangavathi - Sindhanur - Raichur route can be used for intra-state connectivity

Construction of Gangavathi - Kushtagi - Almatti line is doubtful because alignment of Chitradurga - Hosapete - Yelburga - Almatti is nearby. So 2 lines might not come up which has nearby alignment

🔹Connectivity of Annigeri and Gadag - Bagalkot line is not required because Gadag bypass line is under construction

🔹Connectivity of Hubballi - Hosapete line and Hosapete - Vyasa Colony line is not required because Hosapete bypass line is already functioning since many years

🔹Ranajitpura - Swamihalli: This line can be constructed in view to facilitate easy movement of freight trains. But if this line passes through Sandur then few passenger trains/DEMUs can be introduced from Ballari to Hosapete via Toranagallu, Sandur, Yeshwantnagara for connectivity of towns and villages

🔹Kotturu - Rayadurgam: This line can be constructed in view to facilitate easy movement of freight trains. But passenger/express trains might not run in this route because distance will be increased if trains want to run from Rayadurgam to Hosapete

🔹Rayadurgam - Guntakal: This line is doubtful because survey is under progress Ballari - Dharmavaram line. This line deviates from Kalyanadurgam and connects Dharmavaram. So trains can run from Rayadurgam to Anantapur via Kalyanadurgam, Dharmavaram after construction of Ballari - Dharmavaram line. Hence Rayadurgam - Guntakal line which bypasses Ballari might not be feasible

🔹Molagavalli - Tuggali: A bypass line connecting Guntakal - Raichur and Guntakal - Dhone routes in similar alignment will be constructed
