Bihar Sharif naam se pehle sheher ka naam bihar bola jaata tha early islamic period me...baad me pure magadh area Ka naam Bihar hua. Sharif baad Ka addition hai. Bihar(Vihar) original name hai... Odantapuri is also an ancient name pre islamic. Jis city ke naam se ab state ka naam hai...usko aise hi change nhi kar sakte. And kisi ko bhi problem nhi hai iss naam se. And Sharif is here for resting place of Sufi Saint Sheikh Makhdoom Sharfuddin Ahmed Yahya Maneri.
Problem hai sabko to Bakhtiyarpur se. Usko change Kar de to bhi chalega. The notorious person who destroyed ancient places of learning in Bihar - Nalanda, Odantapuri and Vikramshila, does not deserve such respect.
