2 months back when I went to TPTY, i saw a new platform came up on the back side i.e. on on the other side of pitlines... also they completed connecting the platform bridge as well to that new platform...
But TPTY West station compound itself has scope to either use itfor new Platforms or shift Pitlines..Minimum 3 platforms ayina kattochu aa station lo..Antha space undi...Sare connectivity problem avutundi ante ..They can make it a maintenance yard instead ..Shift pitlines there and use the space in TPTY for additional platforms ..Operations easy avtay kada..
I think u are talking about PF6 on the other side then that is under construction from 3 yrs along with station building. In 2017 itself the foot over bridge is connected to other end but there is no booking counter then.
I doubt about the length of the space available there atleast 800m is needed. Towards East end Tirupati from Chittoor there is a road underpass and track height of 12ft from ground level. If someone could measure the length using Google Earth it would be useful to come to conclusions
As far as I remember, the space was there to the length of the existing PF In West ...But yes that I observed while skipping it..Someone can confirm that
