Three passengers booked on Utkal express 8477 through TATKAL quota, to travel from Agra Cantt to Hazrat Nizamuddin today (10/06/2010) were unable to catch the train since their incoming train, Ibadat express 2395 from Mughal Sarai, arrived at Agra Fort station more than 3.5 hours late. Would this case merit filing TDR online to recover the full fare?
Kindly respond.
Are there different rules pertaining to filing TDR for a ticket booked under Tatkal scheme?
Thanks...

I am also interested in this type of cancellations. Could someone enlighten us
Earlier I had observed this type of case last year. Due to the Fog the train was cancelled. So the passenger not traveled to his destination but He had booking of return journey in Tatkal Quota.
I filed TDR for the return journey but it was not approved due to tatkal quota & I talked to the customer care of IRCTC that passenger was not traveled due to his connecting train cancellation so he should get full refund but they rejected my point.
