Please Double and Electrify Pune-Miraj-Hubli rail line. This will help railways to introduce high speed trains between route. Also, while doubling, the ghat sections between Pune and Satara can be bypassed with tunnels similar to what has been done in Konkan railway. Bypassing ghats in Pune-Satara section will reduce the Pune-Bangalore distance by over 50 km.

@guest: Re# 49969-20 KS Sampark Kranti takes less time from Bangalore to Pune as compared to Udyan or other trains. KS Sampark Kranti travels via Miraj Pune. The reason of ghat section given by some bloggers is baseless.
