OEA is done really well on the pit/washing lines, but if those are not available, it can be done at the PFs (washable aprons are needed) or yards. According to the IR manual for LHB coach maintenance, OEA involves locking and securing the whole train, cleaning it up, and inspecting the bogies at the end of the platform. Just to be clear, OEA is not the same as SM. PFTR is just a quick check done on platforms for trains with a super short turnaround time like Shatabdis, Intercities, DDs, etc. No maintenance work is done during PFTR.

Oye, pit ya washing line pe OEA acha hota hai lekin agar nahi hai to PFs mein bhi ho jayega (washable apron zaruri hai). IR manual ke mutabik LHB coach ki maintenance mein OEA raking ko lock karna, rake aur amenity ko secure karna, saaf safai ka dhyaan rakhna aur PF ke ant mein bogies ka examination karna shaamil hai. Yaad rakhna ki OEA ko SM se naa milayein.

PFTR bas trains jaise Shatabdis, Intercities, DDs ke liye jinmein turnover time kam hota hai, ke liye basic check karne ke liye hota hai. Koi maintenance nahi ki jayegi.
