When you book in tatkal you get waiting list and you cannot cancel your tkts booked in waiting list. Then how come the tatkal waiting list tkt can get confirmed. Is it that it'll be adjusted against the tkts cancelled in general category.

W/l passengers can cancel the ticket na.. so they will cancel and remaining seats from quota are allotted to CK ticket holders...
but their would be pending waiting list in general category then on what basis does these be diverted to confirm tatkal waiting list
How come conformed tickets will be converted to CK.. but of the available seats at chart preparation majority will go to CK w/l only..
there was a circular from IR that CK WL passengers will be given preference when compared to GEN WL sometime back.. but exact percentage was never mentioned.. Good question sir..
