This is a gradient. Common in SWR and SCR and in SR also(especially CBE,PGT,SRR,TVC,MAQ stretch). The terrain of the land is as such. And also some stretches lie close to mountains like Western Ghats.

Land is not even here as it's a plateau. SCR aao kabhi proper Deccan plateau hai, poora roller coaster ride milega at 120.
