As per an information received today, looking at the huge booking in all trains between Howrah-Adra-Purullia route, SER is planning to start another train in this route as soon as possible. An instruction will be soon given on this matter.

extension of shiromani ll be disasterous for this train. departure from prr at wee hours around 3.30 ll hardly effective towards patronage with hand full of passengers & above that its punctuality will drastically be downgraded and detrimental for the hwh/kgp bound passengers

Agreed.but prr doesnt hav a train after prr exp till ckp pgr.datswhy i talked abt this extension.dep at prr would be around 4 am.handfull of psngrs yes but usefull for the prr adra section as an option to go to hwh before prr exp and to return to prr after prr exp.
Moreover news is there though nt cnfrmed that on lines of ckp hwh exp siromani set to become exp
For PRR-HWH, don't you think an Intercity via ASN-BWN would be good?
