GR coaches will expire some day. So they must replace coaches or will hv to shut down GR concept
GR coaches will complete 20yrs from 2025 to 2030. So they have a life of 5 more years.
Yeah. But for that they need to plan from now only. Or maybe waiting 2024 election.
It's all waistage of time and resources....
It won't create much difference between existing and this new type.. be it 3E, T20, or Tejas.....
Instead IR should focus on more advanced and hightech ''pod based coaches'' will definitely have more berths than all existing coaches

Considering the amenities, 3E is superior to the present 3 tier. The profitable way is to introduce these new coaches as 3 tier and make the existing 3 tier as 3e. Personal vents and lights are the USP for 3 tier; not 3e. Another loss making decision in brew.
The present conventional (ICF) 3 tier coaches can be phased out and replaced with LHB coaches thus proceeding with modernisation.
