Members from Odisha may help here with this info. Is the Jharsuguda Titagarh section completely doubled or is it still a single line section ?
Only Deobahal-Bargarh Road-Barpali and Badmal-Titilagarh sections are left. Around 80-90% work has been completed and it is expected to be commissioned by Dec.
Thanks for the info. Would it lead to reduction in some running time of trains in this section ?
I don't think so, because according to me the running time of exp & sf between SBP-JSG and TIG is already good. At times some trains get delayed due to crossings at different stations.
What do you think ?
What do you think ?
Looking at the running time and overall avg speed of all trains in this section, it seems to be more than 55km/hr which is quite a surprise considering Single line section. However quite surprised in two sections in this zone where trains have been unusually been given high running time. First is the Muniguda -Rayagada stretch and the second one is in return direction Sambalpur to Jharsuguda.
Yes the running times of a few trains between some stretches are unusual. I think may be scheduled to maintain punctuality as some stretches are still single and crossings and overtakings are the reason. More over The R-VZM and JSG-TIG sections are already over traffic due to running of more goods trains. So the 3rd line between VZM & TIG is also going on and some parts have already been commissioned. With in some years we may see some speed ups between the section. Hope for the best.
