After gauge conversion, Delhi Bangalore Rajdhani could be started via the short route of Daund Kurduvadi Miraj Hubli. This Rajdhani would be beneficial for passengers of Bangalore as well as Hubli, Belgaum, Davangere, Harihar, Miraj, Sangli and Kolhapur.

yes these train wouldnt touch sangli. Sangli_miraj are twin cities and there are many local buses, trains ply between two cities distance is only 8 -10 kms so sangli commuters will have to reach Miraj junction to catch pandharpur train.
I think miraj-pandharpur route is more useful for local connectivity. It wiil be useful to connect well developed kolhapur region to marathwada region.
So instead of long distance trains starting passenger trains from kolapur/miraj towards solapur, nanded, parali, latur is more useful for local people. For long distance trains they can easily use either miraj, kurduwadi junction.

I agree.Local connectivity is essential for trade, education, business point of view.As passenger fare is too low as compared to bus sevice, nowdays all trains are overcrowded.Actually Indian Railway is playing great role in the life of common poor people and also providing relief.
@guest: Re# 50429-17 Does railway board refer to this website while declaring new trains, diversions, etc.
No INDIA GOVT not that advanced....still ministries like Railways run on political pressure only
