Finally SCR comes on right track! As informed by DRM-Nanded, DPR preparation and process for additional land acquisition for construction of pitline/ coaching facility at Chikalthana near Aurangabad, has been initiated by SCR and proposal is put in front of finance dept. Hope that in coming months, pitline construction will start.

Agree. Not even for Maharashtra, he proved to be useless for whole IR. Even officials were unhappy with him. He didn't do anything new in his tenure. All the works he was looking over were actually started by Suresh Prabhu. He intentionally neglected Marathwada. I am not sure, but I think constant pressure and criticism from the region might have been sensed by Modi, that's why he might have given MoS to the region.
All the previous RM or MoSR did ended up doing a bit extra for their regions ( Suresh Angadi- rest of Karnataka especially Belgaum, Suresh Prabhu did it for Konkan/Goa stretch ) Because Piyush Goyal didnt focus on any one particular region it ended up being viewed as unbiased and neutral, but as you rightly said it was only when he left that many people ended up giving actual feedback that his tenure was not that great as RM

I disagree. There was no shortage of funds but disproportionate distribution of funds. You can clearly see that in this years pink book. NED division was awarded just 1.45% of total development funds of ~6.5k cr rupees to SCR. This was communicated to RM, but didn't take any action.
