Absolutely !
3E is cannibalising 3A
Eating up its own share.
Rather the fare could have been somewhat median of SL & 3AC .
Garibrath fares would have been ideal

Yes Garib Rath fares would have been ideal....if the difference between existng 3AC and 3AC economy is not significant why will SL passengers board. On the contrary it will end up dividing revenues of 3AC
If you have both classes in a train passengers of 3A will first opt for 3AE as it's new coach then go for 3A this giving no way for sleeper travellers upgrade. 1 -2 inch spacing gap in each berth compartment will not find much difference in comfort when basic design is the same unless GR coach where side middle berth is added.
2.0 times would be a ideal pricing for sleeper class travellers to upgrade to 3AE.
3E fares look much higher & really close to 3A fares. For an average distance of upto 1000 km it should have been placed in a way to let SL travelers upgrade to 3E. Seems to be a missed opportunity by putting higher fares.
