That's a small link line. Doubling of it hasn't been found necessary in survey.
If that line is doubled distance to gomoh via bksc will be shortened and is a good prospect route for ndls bound trains
Doubling won't shorten distance untill the whole alignment is changed. Shortest distance to GMO and fastest route is always via BJE-TLE-KNF (GC). This route is shortest to RNC and BKSC (from PRR) only.
True.bt trains coming from bbs or src ia tata or sambalpur or ckp going towords grand chord can actually be benefitted by this.
Trains going towards BKSC side are lesser in number compared to towards MURI. The bypass link is hardly 5 km single track. A train will hardly occupy it for 5-6 mins after which a train from opposite direction can enter. Train operations won't be bottlenecked there.
