irifan2015~ 2342 blog postsThis train crawl in SWR zone. Probably because SR wants it to be in Thiruvannamalai/ Tirukoilur only after 4:30AM. While achieving this, the train blocks many speed up opportunities in SWR.
I have a suggestion: Allot DR UBL slot for this train. It can reach UBL before 10: AM. It can go via GTL, TPTY, KPD and reach Pondicherry by night 2300.
DR UBL can take chalukya slot and reach UBL by 1200 and YPR by 1900.

Chalukya on both directions create problems at YPR. From Mumbai, it blocks enroute line from UBL to YPR. While towards Mumbai, it blocks line and platforms for 2-3 hours.
Anyway, being a pass through CR train, it is better to forget it's utility to Bangalore. Let it go to PDY/ TEN in any other route. Let it not disturb YPR.
Similarly, LTT CBE originally meant as Kurla Bangalore train is blocking DMM SBC line daily. Let it go via KJM SA.

SWR has lost 2 important and good trains to Mumbai viz, coimbatore and Puducherry...

If SR run PDY MRJ and TEN MRJ trains at a different faster slot via RU, GTL, UBL, Chalukya slot can be used for Mumbai Bangalore SF.
Now, no end to end traveler would prefer this. Better options for Pondy passengers are biweekly CSMT NCJ via VM, Weekly KIK LTT and weekly LTT MDU. For Madurai, Thirunelveli passengers, you have CSMT NCJ in convenient timings.
The wrong decision of extension can be reversed.

In the list of trains which will bypass YPR, I guess this train might also be there. But the question is will it be speeded up?
