Earlier there was a proposal but TVC division unable to receive train at KCVL or even further due to constraints. In 2020 CR had sent a proposal to extend it to Kollam via KTYM. However that time SR didnt approve due to two reasons (1) Some sections in KTYM route doubling ws not complate (2) Kollam station disnt have adequate facility for watering and repairs. Now that has been take care of, hopefully once doubling is completed they are planning to extend to Kollam
