Meeting India's longest Dibrugarh- Kanyakumari Vivek Express while arriving at Asansol Junction

Around 15 minutes late running 13317 Howrah (HWH)- Dhanbad (DHN) BLACK DIAMOND Express headed by freshly POH'ed 30204 WAP-7 of GMO shed slows down at the outers of Asansol Junction, and cruises at a moderate speed while approaching the station. ASN shed WAG- 5 hauling BOBYN rake, and the stationary rake of 53521/ 53522 Asansol (ASN)- Varanasi (BSB) Passenger. In the distance, a WAG- 7 in WAP- 4 shell, a Shakti WDG- 3A and a few other rakes are also seen at the very distance. Finally after changing tracks to arrive at pl- 3, we meet the 1 hour late running 15906 Dibrugarh (DBRG)- Kanyakumari (CAPE) Weekly VIVEK Express, which is currently India's longest, and world's seventh longest train, which is seen stationary at pl- 4.
Vivek follows the Dibrugarh- New Tinsukia- Mariani- Dimapur- Lumding- Guwahati- Goalpara- New Bongaigaon- Alipurduar- New Jalpaiguri- Kishanganj- Malda Town- Rampurhat- Durgapur- Asansol- Adra- Bankura- Midnapore- Hijli- Bhubaneshwar- Khurda Road- Brahmapur- Vishakapatnam- Vijaywada- Renigunta- Jolarpettai- Salem- Erode- Coimbatore Main- Palakkad- Ernakulam Town (North)- Kottayam- Kollam- Trivandrum Central- Nagercoil- Kanyakumari route of NFR/ ER/ SER/ ECoR/ SCR/ SR. It covers a mammoth distance of 4243 kms in 82 hours with 54 halts, and maintaining an average speed of 54 km/hr.
