UTTARANDHRARAILSEVA~ 1853 blog postsThis SF train with LHB coaches covers the distance of 247 km between CAPE and MDU IN 5 hours. What is the use of LHB coaches which are made to run @ 160 kmph? Can anyone explain the reason for reducing speed of the train in spite of Electrification and doubling ?
CAPE-MDU's MPS is 100kmph not even 130. That too some sections even has lesser MPS due to PSR. Most of the section is single line except VPT-MDU. This section has good passenger traffic and some stations dont even have loop lines. So slack has been given. Doubling is happening. It will take some time for speed up.
