on time running 12385 Howrah (HWH)- Dhanbad (DHN) A.C. Double Decker Express headed by 30203 WAP- 7 of HWH shed (ex.GMO) thunders through the Up fast line on the 126 kms Shaktigarh- Sitarampur quadruple line stretch of ER, and in the process overtakes the 30 minutes late running 53131 Sealdah (SDAH)- Muzaffarpur (MFP) Fast Passenger headed by a WAG- 7, which was cruising through the Up slow line. Simultaneously, we also meet a BCNA rake on the Down slow line. Location is between Durgapur and Waria.
This is my first snap of this Passenger. It follows the Sealdah- Naihati- Bandel- Burdwan- Durgapur- Asansol- Madhupur- Jasidih- Jha Jha- Kiul- Luckeesarai- Hathidah- Barauni- Samastipur- Muzaffarpur route of ER/ ECR, and takes 18 hours to cover 568 kms with 44 halts enroute at an average speed of 30 km/hr. The return train takes 20 hours with 69 halts at an average speed of 28 km/hr.
