No!! These trains came much later to NDLS inception!! GT run via DLI & later MAS-DLI Janta Exp (Andaman) use to Terminate DLI after passing NZM/NDLS!! GT (ex NDLS with Through Coach to HYB) & Janata were just two trains till Southern Exp AC Deluxe (Dakshin) forayed in 1957 to connect MAS-NDLS (Through Coach to HYB & later MAS connection was taken over by TamilNadu TN)!! Exp)!!
There exist non connected Tracks which are connected now & long journey with less demand make South Train run as through Coaches (GT is best example of Coach Towed by various trains from MAQ till Peshawar & later Dhanushkodi/RMM/CBE/MTP/UAM/TVC/Cochin till NDLS)!!
