Finally my 600th upload!!
Took me 13 months to do the same!!
First...
more... of all, I want to thank everyone who have helped me in some way or the other to become what I am today. I want to thank my fellow railfans and my dearest friends for accompanying me on various railfanning trips.. And also my fellow railfanning friends and colleagues in Youtube and IRI for giving me continuous support. And last but not the least, also a lot of thanx to my railfan mother for encouraging me to go on railfanning trips.
Wanted to upload something different.. So here it is!! This compilation features a few trains from the eastern belt of our country, more significantly from ER (Eastern Railways) and SER (South Eastern Railways), which were introduced by the ruling political parties to show their strength, and also increase their rapo among the common people. But all these trains were of the least importance, and as a result, keeps on running empty even in the peak of seasons. Due to continuous loss making runs, Indian Railways are running into huge debts day by day, but seldom any steps are taken to change the circumstances for the better. So all these trains could well be called "THE POLITICAL PARTIES' DRIVEN WHITE ELEPHANTS (SAFEED HAATHI) OF INDIAN RAILWAYS". These are nothing, but simply the thorn on the flesh of our beloved railways.
Though Janata Express could not exactly be termed as a white elephant, but still considering the fact that it runs between Kolkata and Delhi,
and still gets a rake composition of two SLR, five General Class coach and five to seven Parcel Vans tells you why I added it
in this list.
