Asansol station always interesting
Today I helped a couple board 00463 train to Delhi. This train is cargo carrying train that can be tracked on NTES.
As couple told me they were travelling in emergency and TTE at Asansol charged them 850 (as seen on TTE slip) per passenger.

train no. So everyone told them that this train has no Sleeper coaches. I aked them to go and ask the Guard. But they went to ahead to ask Driver and policeman asked them to board Kalka mail later. I went ahead just to check and told them no sleeper coach is there in ahead. Pls go at the rear (had to insist a bit) and talk to guard. Luckily they went and after the guard SLR coach there was a sleeper. The train departed post 10 pm and guy waved and thanked me from the Gate. Lucky enough to help a fellow passenger while Railfanning does keep us slightly more informed than regular passengers.

For a moment even I had thought that TTE at Asansol might have made a mistake or conned the person but given the dedication and helpful nature of TTE at Asansol that was not a case at all.
