Line till Hirebagewadi is clear and land acquisition is in parallel with National Highway from Dharwad. But after that there are two discussions going on.
1. Line will join Desur as sanctioned.
2. Re align it, to bypass Bgm station and join at Sambra station making it as Bgm Jn. This will help freights to skip densely populated city area and go from outside, just like Hubballi Bypass line. Another reason for this is land is fertile between Hirebagewadi-Kanvikarvinakoppa-Desur and farmers are not ready to give it.
