dedicated not needed imo because number of local trains running in bengal.
MBB, RPH all have dozen trains to Kolkata. They can easily board from Kolkata. Compared to Bihar Jharkhand inter state connecticity in bengal quite good.

That can't be the reason. Districts of Murshidabad, Birbhum, Far Flung areas of Bardhaman are more than 200-250 kms from the capital . Still entire South Bengal more or less dependent on Kolkata for Outward Travel, be it North or South India . I would not agree to that ! North Bengal Cities gets connectivity as all major stations lie on the Main Line to NEast.
Running a SF train will never hamper. HWH AZ MLDT already has SF trains to Guwahati and AGTL Raj will run via MLDT BGP JMP with tracks enabled for 110 .
