One doubt sir. Why SWR didnt plan any train to Amritsar/Jammu Tawi till now. They can run an train in the same route of 12627/28(already having much WL). But some telling that SWR rejecting new train proposals. Is it true?
Yes SWR is not accepting new train proposals due to infrastructure constraints . It has several shortage of outlines for SM and PM fir long distance due to delay in operation of New terminal at SVMT. Once operationalized and shifting some long distance trains they will allow new trains.
Soon one day SWR run an train to Amritsar/Jammu Tawi. Already MP and MLAs of Punjab demanding train to Bengaluru/South India for many years. Most important demand is Bengaluru to Amritsar train. Some suggesting KSK of Chandigarh to be extended to Amritsar.
