VSG MAS weekly should be restored via GTL now. Entire Tinaighat to MAS via this section is doubled and electrified now.
Also the rake of NGT/VLNK weekly remians idle and stabled at SVM railway station for 4 days so better SWR start it now.

Most probably, they might be thinking same. To remove VSG TPTY HYB link and operate this train via GDG on slot of current UBL MAS weekly
They should start and make biweekly both velkanani train and Chennai train it is worst Chennai don't have daily connectivity to Goa.
If VSG MAS weekly started via GTL RU then i think it's safe to assume that TPTY VSG weekly link may be cancelled and HYB VSG can be operated as a dedicated full 22 ICF coach weekly rake or equivalent LHB rake.
Now the Shimoga Chennai Express is also back on track, that too as BiWeekly.
But still no news on VSG MAS Express.
Also, someone had earlier mentioned in this forum that Shimoga Chennai Express is the only express train out of SWR den which bypasses all the three Divisional HQ of this zone.
