One must definitely visit this station situated in the lap of Nature situated between Vindhyachal Valley all around. 💚💚

One of the oldest functional railway station in central India @Kalakund. Established by British and right now functioning as meter gauge line between Mhow- Omkareshwar. This railway station is just next to Choral valley.

sheltered. It lacks many facilities including water and sanitation. Recently gauge conversion started on this line. After conversion it will connect Indore to South India.

The station is connected with Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Railway Station (MHOW) to the South west and Omkareshwar to the south-east on the Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (MHOW) - Omkareshwar Meter Gauge Railline.

*It was once part of Ajmer - Chittorgarh - Ratlam - Fatehabad - Indore - Mhow - Khandwa - Akola - Kacheguda Meter Gauge Heaven. Where India's longest long distance meter gauge queen _"Meenakshi Express"_ ruled this station for the last time in the year DEC/2006 between Jaipur to Purna Before Gauge Conversion.*

Height of Idiocity:-
DLI-JP-ADI & JP-MDJN-COR-RTM-INDB Lines were to be made as BG in 1865 AD. Delhi-Jaipur-Ahmedabad Line was laid in BG up till MJ from DLI bypassing Ajmer via Madar. But Rajputana & Malwa Railway company did blunder & laid Udaipur-Chanderiya-Gurla in MG. Thus by 1873, the British had to convert BG line from DLI to MJ to MG with addition of AII station .
Jaipur-Madar-Ratlam-Indore was fully laid in BG via Chittorgarh, Nimach up till FTD/F.C.ganj. Again Rajputana & Malwa Railway company did blunder & laid Ujjain - F.C.ganj -

Indore in MG & further completed the line till Khandwa. A parallel BG line from OM to KNW was laid by British along with Akola-Purna BG line in 1890-1895 AD. But Nizam State Railway had laid the Ajanta Line from HYB to MMR in MG by 1895 AD. Keeping the request of Nizam, the British converted MDJN-COR-RTM-FTD & AK-HNL-PAU BG line in MG in 1900 AD. Thus the Ajmer - Chittorgarh - Ratlam/Ujjain - F.C.ganj - Indore - Mhow - Khandwa - Akola - Purna - Nanded - Kacheguda Meter Gauge Heaven came into existence. The parallel BG line from OM to KNW was scrapped in 1901
