is it safe to get down at Madurai in the wee hours of night?
apart from that... wasting half of night waiting for the connecting passenger train.

I told about Madurai city..Its not an big issue to transfer a train at early morn in any connecting station.Most of the long distance trains reach their destination early morning or in late night hours..
