Kolhapur just has 3pfs n also KOP Miraj is a single line so there is lack of parking space for a train to lie idle for more than 8hrs n also loco reversal at Miraj Jn is avoided if short terminated at Miraj Jn.
The turnaround time at KOp used to 60 to 90 min on PF. Short termination may be due to ZBTT and passenger occupancy issues.
Ohk !! But Should Be Regularize Till KOP Because There Is A So Many Passengers Who Travelled On End To End Sector.
No, there weren't many passengers at all.
While traveling in Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express from Pune to Yeswantpur, I have seen this train countless times (early arrival at Miraj). Always a negligible patronage from Kolhapur.
Also, this train was meant for connection of Karnataka Areas (SWR) to Bengaluru so nothing wrong in short terminating this train to maintain punctuality and Quota.
Works same way...
