If you cancel it before boarding the 1st train, cancellation charges for a single confirmed ticket would be deducted.
If you board the first train, deboard at the transit station and then decide to cancel the second leg, you would need to file TDR. Total Fare - Fare for the distance traveled against 1st leg - Clerkage Charges would be refunded to you.
