Its just my observation. The train 6101/02 Chennai Quilon Mail runs with just 14 cars. I guess it is due to restrictions imposed in ghat sections.
But can 10 cars be attached / detached at SCT so that it relieves the burden of ever swelling Pothigai Express.
I know IR is doing away with the process of link trains, but in this case, this could be considered.
