ticket in Asr-shc garib rath from new delhi to gorakhpur just 10 min before charting then opted the vikalp on next day Gorakhpur Humsafar
And after 15 min got msg that my seat is confirmed in vikalp train but sadly got upper berth
However spent 800 for 3ac in garib rath and got seat in 1700 fare of GKP Humsafar 🤣

2nd time i used it in shiv ganga waiting was normal may be it will get Rac for sure
However i opted for vikalp in 12581 as 100+ seats available in that
And in charting got seats in that same day..
.
So as per my opinion and knowledge vikalp alloted to u when there is seats available generally not in current

Rest i dont know
