Unfortunate thing is that all the non-ac classes have no profits with them, that is why IR with going with full AC models now. Had the government been allowed to increase fares of non ac classes then there wouldn't have been this much reduction in the amount of SL coaches as is currently seen pan India. Even if normal SF trains are run with less halts, the stoppage demanding faction would destroy them. Also, there won't be any new Duronto in the near future as Durontos were introduced by Mamata Banerjee, and the government is not at all interested in advocating opposition's pet project. You can only expect Humsafars and Tejas trains for premium services.
