DoJ : April 05th from MAS #12164 - reached LTT evening after 9pm. But already one rake moved #12153. I thought only three rakes are there.

The train from Mumbai has 2 hrs turnaround in Chennai and goes to Mumbai and require PM so it can't leave the same day. So 3 rakes have to be used.
oh thanks, so i suppose because of the less TAT at MAS the maintenance is Handled by LTT CDO 🤷♂️
Distance matters. For. LHB rake the scheduled maintain PM should be done every 4000km and if one way distance is more then 2000km they need to do SM an require 8-10hrx turnaround time That is the reason Kanyakumari Mumbai is curtailed to Pune. As the rake doesn't need maintainance the turnaround time at destination is 2-3 hrs for watering cleaning and basic inspection.
