Switching over of Coaching trains from Diesel to Electric traction Ref: 1. Letter No. T.425/42 of CPTM/WR dated 01.04.2022. 2. COTS Message No. 566 dated 13.04.2022
As electrification over Konkan Railway (ROHA-TOK section) has been completed, it is decided to run Mail Express trains with electric traction in phased manner. In first phase ' w.e.f. 01.05.2022 (JCO) below mentioned Mail Express trains will be accepted with electric traction. Following trains will be taken over from Central Railway & Southern Railway in Up & Dn direction.

This is good news. Hopefully in the future some speed up should happen for trains as well. Huge amount of savings for KR and railways in general for diesel. Time taken to change locos at least that and some more should reflect in revised updated TT
