I have gone through. Same case and hence same applicability. But one thing you will note - the negligence or non attentiveness of the charting clerk for New Delhi quota. He had atleast five berths vacant which he allotted to the BPL passengers. Berth Nos. are from 57 to 60 and 20 in the same coach S-10. The senior PNR is of the 4 Passengers and next was of the 3 passengers. Hence all 4 from the earlier and 1 from the later have been confirmed...

from Delhi itself. If he / she had four berths in continuation, should have allotted all 4 to the 4 passenger PNR and the remaining (not in continuation) should have gone to the next PNR. But what he / she has done is all before us. From the 4 berths in continuity, he allotted 3 to the 4 Passenger PNR and gave 1 to the 3 Passenger PNR (of which rest 2 are still waitlisted and a rare chance that they get the berth in continuity as it will be a different quota). The remaining available berth at a distance has been preferred for the 4 passenger PNR.
At number of times I appreciate charting clerks but this is not the case.
Once I had seen a wonderful work of the charting clerk. A PNR of 6 passengers was confirmed for 4 and RAC for 2. The charting clerk gave berth nos, 33, 34, 35 & 36 to the confirmed passengers and 39 for both the passengers. What a wonderful allocation he / she had done!
