It is a matter of relief that the infrastructure for POH of Electric Locomotive at Rail Locomotive Factory Jamalpur will be prepared in the first three quarters of the current financial year.

Workshop Engineer of Eastern Railway wrote a letter to the Railway Board
It has been told that Sumit Sarkar, Chief Workshop Engineer, Eastern Railway, has written a letter to this effect to the Director Mechanical Engineer (P) I, Railway Board on 25 April. In this, he has said that for the current financial year 2022-23, the Kashtapara Rail Workshop has been given the workload of 55 WAG-7, 10 WAG-9H and 31 other Electric Locomotive POH.
Two Electric Locos Delivered
Whereas Jamalpur factory has got the workload of two WAG-7, which is already there. Work load of Electric Locomotive POH has not been given to Rail Locomotive Factory Jamalpur in the financial year 2022-23. Whereas two electric locos have been given here to provide basic facilities for POH.
Electrification work and track alignment work being completed
It has also been clarified in the letter that during this time the overhead electrification work and track alignment work is being completed in the locomotive factory. A target has been set to complete both these works by 30 September 2022. After this, POH work of electric loco can be done in Rail Locomotive Factory Jamalpur also.
