I have a doubt about railway reservation system?do they start giving RAC/WL ticket only when all others births are filled?in my opinion,they start RAC/WL even when there are some berths vacant.once i booked a ticket just a day ago in general quota,it was about WL70 in sleeper class but next day it got confirmed.there can not be so much of cancellation just a day ago or even some hours ago.although this happened a year ago,it suggests there are some vacant seats even when RAC/WL ticket is issued.IRI members,if you have any idea please share with us.
