WAP7 24 coach 12724 New Delhi Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh express overtakes an unknown train at Multai. Second part AP cruises over a viaduct, enters a tunnel in the ghats between Itarsi and Nagpur. Ghats look dry since this was taken before monsoons.

During 1981-83, AP express used to depart Secunderabad 0730 hours and arrive New Delhi 0740 hours next day. Used to be faster than the Tamil Nadu express.
