Ironically, happening in three line section the most where one would think it should be less of a concern. Check out Mumbai Mail today (12809): arrives Nagpur 7 minutes before time, leave 9 minutes late but reaches Bhandara on time. All is fine until Rajnandgaon.

km journey to Raipur in 1 hour, 8 minutes (almost an hour late)

By the time it reaches Jharsuguda, leaving SECR, it will likely be close to 2 hours late.

In SER, the train is sped up to make up some delay (same in CR where I consistently see the train averaging 90-100 km/h in longer sections like Nasik-Manmad-Chalisgaon-Jalgaon), but often too late.

IR needs to look at bottlenecks and decision making in SECR.

Trains are doing fine in SER though. Here is the story on 12810 that left HWH last night:
- HWH to KGP in 1:26 (reaches KGP before time after departing 5 min late)
- TATA - On time
- CKP - 3 minutes late (left TATA 9 minutes late so recovered some time)

ROU - 8 minutes late
- JSG - 18 minutes before time (that is more than making up for the 8 minute delay in Rourkela)

Now that it has entered SECR, delay will ensue. It will likely reach NGP about 2 hours late. This is bad management by SECR.

These trains are regularly reaching HWH and CSTM 3+ hours late. The other day Mail was short terminated at Dadar likely because it was too late. The issue is entirely in SECR
