Just saw the dist between SGNR and JP and i'm like AWWW......... two cities in same state and they are as far as NZM-BPL, i.e. 693kms. SO this train covers little less than BPL Shatabdi running in single state whereas BPL Shatabdi starts from UT crosses 4 states Haryana, UP, Raj and MP and covers as much distance as this train. Still cant believe it takes such a big detour.

Agreed guys, but im solely talking about RAJ, if train has to travel so much distance in RAJ it has to take one complete circle. isnt it?
I mean if its taking shortest possible route between sgnr and jp then it looks quite odd, cause it doesnt look that big state for that much distance and that too shortest ever.
Sir, reason being Jaipur is almost at the tip of Eastern Rajasthan, whereas SGNR is Right at the tip of Rajasthan in North..Even by road the distance between two cities is close to 500 km..so I guess the distance by train is not too exaggerated...
my friend diffrence between road an rail from one destination to other is 200kms, and you are saying its not too exaggerated. can understand 50-60kms difference between rail and road journey citing landscape and other land issues but 200 is way too much.
